Successful Grand Opening of Mjølner Bakery
This weekend, Mjølner Bageri officially opened its doors for orders, and to celebrate the opening we decided to hold a tasting on 18 and 19 November Bryrup. At the event, locals were able to try free samples of the main product sold online: real American-style fudgy brownies. There were some other samples to try such as muffins, macarons, mini cakes, cake pops.
The aim of the whole event was to give people the opportunity to taste what Mjølner Bageri has to offer without having to buy a whole cake and having to have a "meet and greet", so that everyone knows who is "behind mjølner"
I was asked what the idea behind the miller was, and the answer is the following: Before I opened my first business, I thought for a long time about what name I should give the bakery. I wanted a name that would stand out from the other companies, but something that is also somehow connected to Denmark/Norse gods or mythology. I didn't want a cliché name like Mónika's cakes. I wanted something that has meaning and can be made into a brand. I also considered that I need a brand theme or image that can be used for a cafe.
Another question I was asked several times over the weekend: what are my future plans? I would like to open my own cafe with regular daily opening hours, cakes, bread, sandwiches, coffee.
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely,
Monica
